Yoann Combémorel
Conductor
About
Emerging French conductor Yoann Combémorel is an exceptional young talent who exhibits clear technique and a magnetic stage presence. From Mozart to Puccini, Bruckner, Messiaen, and Boulanger, Combemorel’s wide-ranging repertoire reflects a deep interest in contemporary and underrepresented music, highlighting and rediscovering works by women and African American composers who have been historically overlooked.
Equally at ease with opera and symphonic repertoire, Yoann brings an artistic vision rooted in human rights, using music as a way to engage audiences in reflection on today’s pressing social issues. Deeply committed to expanding access to education and artistic development, he has consistently developed projects that bring culture, musical training, and creative opportunities to communities—especially in rural areas and regions with limited access to the arts.
In April 2025, Combémorel uncovered a previously lost manuscript by Samuel Barber that has never been recorded and plans to premiere it during the 2025–2026 season.
